Creating new Task
There are multiple ways of creating new tasks. You can either create new Task from the request`s details page which will be defaultly linked to the chosen request or from menu CDESK -> Administration -> Tasks. Use the following links to scroll down to your preferred option.

Navigate to the Tasks in menu CDESK -> Administration -> Tasks and click the button New task.
Choose the link type and task type. For more information about linking options and task types, visit this page: Task types.

Navigate to the details page of request you want the new task to be linked to and click the Tasks tab. To create a new task simply click the button Create task.

Task created this way will be automatically linked to selected request. This can be changed during next step of task creation process.

Creating new Simple Task
This is the right option if you want to create a simple task that may involve multiple participant. It is also possible to create custom task types which can help categorize your tasks into groups.
Fill in the fields as described below:
Task name - task name will be shown in the list of created tasks
Term - Choose the duration of your task, when you click the FROM and TO fields, small calendar will pop up where you can simply choose the dates without the need to enter them manually. You can use the checkbox Entire day to specifiy the task duration more accurately(hours:minutes).
Task type - You can choose from the list of predefined task types by clicking the arrow at the end of this field. To create a new task type, click the icon next to this field. You can manage all your predefined task types in the shown window. To add new one, click the button Add new item. A new row of fields for name of you new task type will appear. You can only fill the field for your language but it is recommended to fill the translations as well just in case somebody else use CDESK in different language.
You can create mutliple task types at once by clicking the button Add new item. After you finished creating them, click the Save button to confirm changes. Your new task types will now be available in the drop down list also for all your future tasks.
Solver - Choose the solver of your new task by clicking the field. A drop down list will appear. If you want to add multiple solvers to this task, click the small "+" button under this field. A new form will appear. Just click it and a drop down list with available operators will be shown. You can add multiple operators to this field by just clicking to it and selecting from the drop down list.

When you have filled all the details, click the Save button to confirm changes.
After the task is created, you can access it from menu: CDESK -> Administration -> Tasks. Double click your task to open it`s details page. You can now change the status of task from Received to In solution, or Completed. You can also view all changes made to the task(change of description, status...) in the history panel at the bottom of the page. You can filter it by user, event, detail or date by filling the filtering fields and clicking the Show button.
If you make any changes to the task, click the Save button to confirm changes.
In case an existing task is not already linked to an existing request, you can create a new request from the task by clicking the button Further actions and choosing Create new request from the Task. All information from the task(solver, description, date..) will be transfered to the new request formular.
Creating new Meeting Task
Meeting is special type of task that requires confirmation of participation from all participators.
Fill in the fields as described below:
Task name - task name will be shown in the list of created tasks
Term - Choose the duration of your task, when you click the FROM and TO fields, small calendar will pop up where you can simply choose the dates without the need to enter them manually. You can use the checkbox Entire day to specifiy the task duration more accurately(hours:minutes).
Solver - Choose the solver of your new task by clicking the field. A drop down list will appear. If you want to add multiple participants to this task, click the small "+" button under this field. A new form will appear. Just click to it and a drop down with available operators will be shown. You can add multiple operators to this field by just clicking to it and selecting from the drop down list. All of them will be required to confirm their participation at the meeting.

When you have filled all the details, click the Save button to confirm changes. All participants will be notified about the meeting by e-mail. They can confirm their participation by navigating to CDESK -> Administration -> Tasks, opening the details of the meeting and clicking the blue button New confirmation next to their name in the list of participants.
Click the blue button Set confirmation and choose one from the provided options. Participant can also leave a note which will be shown next to his participation confirmation, e.g. the reason why he can not participate etc.
A user with adequate privileges can edit the details of the meeting or fill the record from the meeting. A new task can be created directly from here too.
You can view all changes made to the task(change of plan of meeting, confirmation of participation...) in the history panel at the bottom of the page. You can filter it by user, event, detail or date by filling the filtering fields and clicking the Show button.
If you make any changes to the task, click the Save button to confirm changes.
You can also create a new request from the task by clicking the button Further actions and choosing Create new request from the Task. All information from the task(solver, description, date..) will be transfered to the new request formular.
Creating new Note Task
Note is a simple type of task that has only one solver assigned.
Fill in the fields as described below:
Task name - task name will be shown in the list of created tasks
Term - Choose the duration of your task, when you click the FROM and TO fields, small calendar will pop up where you can simply choose the dates without the need to enter them manually. You can use the checkbox Entire day to specifiy the task duration more accurately(hours:minutes).
Solver - Choose the solver of your new task by clicking the field. A drop down list will appear.
Description - describe your note here.
You can view all changes made to the task in the history panel at the bottom of the page. You can filter it by user, event, detail or date by filling the filtering fields and clicking the Show button.

Changing task link
Whether your new task is already linked to something or not, you can change it by clicking the Change link on the right side of window as shown in the following picture
A small drop down list will appear where you can change the link to request, customer or make it without link to anything.
After you choose the link type, the lower field will let you choose from the list of objects of your chosen type(requests, customers, projects) by clicking the blue arrow next to this lower field.
After assigning task to request or customer, a detail of request or detail of customer will be shown.
