Add new contact
Here you can create and assign contacts to customer accounts. This can be done using one of the following ways
- Adding new contacts from customer details page
- Adding new contact from the contacts menu
1.) Adding new contacts from customer details page
Open the customer details page from CDESK -> Administration -> Customers and choose your desired customer. After opening the customer`s page, choose the Contacts tab.
You can add Main contact(automatically receives messages sent to the customer) or you can choose Add another contact - can be set to receive notifications and discussion posts. Click add Main/Another contact to add new contact of chosen type. If you want to create a customer account, which will be used by the customer to log into the system and see available information according to his priviledges, click the button Create a customer account.
After the new window is shown, fill required forms such as Adressing, name, degree, address, contact data etc. The option Contact for reminders(if activated) - in case, your company sends reminders, it is possible to choose just chosen contacts.
Notice: In order to communicate with these contacts using CDESK, you must enter e-mail address.
After filling required forms, click the Save button.
New contact will be added to the corresponding category in the contacts tab of the customer details page. It can be modified from there(entered information or type of the contact)
2.) Adding new contact from the contacts menu
You can find all of your contacts in C-DESK -> Administration -> Contacts. At the top of page is filter for searching, advanced filter(magnifying glass symbol) will add additional options for filtering and allows filtering by chosen attributes.
You can order the list of contacts alphabetically by clicking the column title.You can edit contacts by clicking the Edit link at the end of each row.
You can add new contact by clicking the button New contact at the top right part of the window. After the creating formular shows you can fill the fields the same way you would when adding new contact from customer details page. The only difference is that you must set the customer this contact will be assinged to.
